After surviving a quadruple bypass 20 years ago my mom called me yesterday to tell me the doctor found something abnormal on her echocardiogram. I'm terrified, she's in FL and I'm out here in CA and I feel totally helpless.

That's difficult news to get, especially when you're so far away. Will keep your Mom in my prayers and sending you Big Hugs!

I'm sorry to hear that. Many hugs and prayers to ya'll both. I know how difficult distance can be when a loved one is ill. DH's family resides in California and we're here in South Texas.
